I’m glad the banking To Do list and minor LLC-related amendments are now behind me. I shall be getting my Needlepoint Land checks and corporate credit card within 7 – 10 biz days.
Today promises to be fairly active. Early this morning, my tech team will head out to the store and paint the industrial strength pegboard that was delivered with the counter.
Once that is done, James, my new carpenter, will hang it up in the last big open space available, the far end of the right wall. I will probably use the board to put up a mixture of threads and canvases.
Speaking of James, he said he would come by sometime today to fix the laminate counter such that all three pieces fit together nice and tight and the curved middle piece does not risk tipping over, as is the case today.
He will also provide me with an estimate for building the custom shelves / hanging rod display, and other work that needs to be done.
I’m also going to be again contacting CDG Commerce to start the ball rolling in terms of getting a credit card terminal.
If all goes well, I should be ready to process transactions sometime mid to late next week. As things now stand, I am nearing the point where Needlepoint Land can be open by appointment only, which will probably remain the case until I am satisfied the store is ready to be presentable during regular store hours — and the fire marshal issues me a permit.
This reminds me: time to get a hold of the outside signage guy!
