Outside of El Gouna, in the wilderness of the Eastern Desert of Egypt, not far from the shores of the Red Sea, is a mysterious and powerful work by the Greek artist Danae Stratou.

You can see the spiral shape of the art work in the aerial view to the right.

Fascinating, even though technically this has nothing to do with needlepoint, except very generally in terms of art making.

Other than that, the sheer majesty and scale of Desert Breath simply leaves me, well… breathless.
